Define the product before production

A clear specification keeps the project moving in the same direction. It should describe the agreed fragrance, bottle and closure, fill volume, label artwork, outer packaging and order quantities. It also needs to record who approves each element.

Drella works with you to bring these details together. Bring your existing specification if you have one; if you are starting with an idea, we can help work through the choices.

Fragrance and packaging need to work together

The bottle should fit your product, usage instructions and customer experience as well as your visual identity. Discuss how the fragrance will be dispensed, how the closure will be secured and how the product will be packed for delivery.

Before committing, ask how the proposed packaging will be checked with the final product and what samples or approvals are available. The exact checks and acceptance criteria should be agreed for your project.

Filling, labelling and packing

Once the agreed approvals are complete, we can organise filling to your product specification, application of your labels and packing into the agreed format.

Final artwork needs to account for the actual formulation, intended markets and required product information. Establish which documents and approvals each party will provide, and agree how production records and batch identification will be handled.

Make the delivery plan part of the brief

Tell us whether the finished goods need to go to your business premises, a warehouse or a fulfilment partner. Delivery requirements can affect outer packaging, pallet arrangements and the information needed with the shipment.

  • Confirm the destination country and complete delivery address.
  • Share any warehouse booking, carton or pallet labelling requirements.
  • Agree quantities per carton and any special packing needs.
  • Confirm what freight, insurance, customs arrangements and charges are included in the quotation where applicable.
  • Agree the inspection and reporting process for a short or damaged delivery.

What determines your quote and lead time?

Fragrance development, component availability, bottle and label choices, order size, approvals and destination all affect the schedule and price. A target launch date is useful for planning, but production timing should be confirmed against the actual specification.

Start by sharing your idea and the quantity you have in mind. We will discuss the appropriate production route and the information needed for a project-specific proposal.
